The role emphasizes teamwork with the Alterations & Store Team and educating customers on fit and trends. Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years of tailoring experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous fitting, tailoring and sewing experience required (2–3+ years preferred).
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized while handling multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and alterations equipment.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and fit garments on customers and mark alterations.
• Perform fittings and complete alterations on time per Nordstrom guidelines.
• Meet productivity goals while following processes and procedures.
• Use store technology to manage and organize alteration needs.
• Deliver customer expectations through teamwork with the Alterations & Store Team.
• Educate customers and employees on fit, construction and trends in a professional manner.
