Job summary

Brooks Brothers is seeking a Fitter/Tailor in our Alterations department to deliver expert alterations and fabric expertise to customers in a timely manner while providing outstanding service. You will sew, measure, hem and fit garments, use Brooks Brothers systems, meet productivity goals, repair parts, and maintain a clean, organized store environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' tailoring experience.
• Knowledge of clothing and shirt construction and fabrics.
• Previous retail or custom clothing sales experience.
• Scheduling flexibility including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to communicate with customers on the sales floor.
• Proficiency with special order tools, fabrics and programs.

Responsibilities

• Sew, measure, hem, and fit garments to meet customer needs using Brooks Brothers methods.
• Meet productivity goals and utilize Brooks Brothers systems.
• Repair or replace defective garment parts (pockets, zippers, buttons, linings).
• Maintain a clean, neat store environment and support seamless workflow with the team.
• Represent the brand with proper conduct, dress code, and legendary service.
