Job summary

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an RTWOE to oversee tailings storage facilities and water systems at Ray and Hayden operations. This field-intensive role requires significant on-site presence to support safe operations and regulatory compliance.

The incumbent reports to the corporate technical services group, collaborating with EoR, Regional Geotechnical Manager, and the Corporate Water Management Team to ensure governance and risk management across tailings programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in tailings and/or water management engineering in a mining environment.
• Technical expertise in TSF stability analysis, soil/rock mechanics, hydrology, and geotechnical engineering.
• Strong leadership and governance understanding with regulatory compliance and third‑party audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Responsible Tailings Facility Engineer for Ray and Hayden operations, ensuring TSF stability.
• Oversee tailings deposition and water management plans, including water removal, storage, and reclamation strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure hazard identification, mitigation, and safety controls for TSFs and water systems.
• Review EoR recommendations and ensure alignment with GISTM and ICMM governance practices.
• Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plans and OMS manuals and ensure site adherence.
• Oversee monitoring, instrumentation planning, data interpretation, QA/QC for tailings and water management.
