Job summary
Blue Moon Metals Inc. in Nevada seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for the Springer Mine and Milling Complex at Imlay. You will provide expert analysis of ground conditions, slope stability, foundations, and earthworks to support safe design and operations.
You will collect and interpret geotechnical data, monitor field conditions, and develop practical recommendations, working with engineering, construction, operations, and consultants on site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geological/Geotechnical/Civil Engineering or related.
- NEVADA PE licensure preferred or eligible.
- 8+ years geotechnical mining/industrial experience.
- Experience with investigations, slope stability, foundations, earthworks.
- Ability to interpret data and provide practical recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Perform geotechnical analysis of soil, rock, groundwater data.
- Evaluate ground conditions, slope stability, foundations, earthworks.
- Develop design criteria, risk-control measures, and recommendations.
- Plan investigations, drilling, sampling, testing, and instrumentation.
- Inspect site conditions and support excavation and construction activities.
- Monitor instrumentation and advise on needed actions.
- Coordinate with engineering drawings, project records, and consultants.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and monitoring summaries.
