The University of South Carolina’s Division of Information Technology is seeking a Senior Tableau Developer to join our dynamic analytics team.

This role is essential in advancing the University’s analytics platform, Carolina Analytics, powered by Tableau Server. As a Senior Tableau Developer, you will collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and IT professionals to deliver high-quality, data-driven insights that support decision-making across the University.

This position is on-site in Columbia, SC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tableau development, including Tableau Server and Desktop.
• Proven ability to create complex and dynamic dashboards that provide strategic insights.
• Strong SQL skills for querying large datasets.
• Knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience optimizing Tableau Server performance and managing security protocols.
• Excellent communication skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ability to work independently, lead projects, and collaborate within teams.
• Tableau Certification (Desktop Certified Professional or Server Certified Associate).
• Experience in higher education or public sector analytics is preferred.
• Knowledge of other analytics tools and languages such as Python, R, or Power BI.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms and cloud analytics solutions.
