Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA), is seeking a Tableau Developer for a contract assignment in Irving, TX, with potential locations in Rutherford, NJ or Tampa, FL.

You will design and implement enterprise BI solutions, build Tableau dashboards, integrate diverse data sources, and optimize performance on Tableau Server. The role requires strong SQL skills, experience with Oracle/SQL Server/Sybase, and hands-on Tableau expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise BI development experience, preferably from a consulting background.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop, Server and Prep; thorough administration knowledge.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase) and unstructured data management.
• Experience in data warehouse design and complex SQL, stored procedures, and query tuning.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics dashboards and BI solutions.
• Design Tableau dashboards using Sybase / Big Data as backends.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and prepare datasets for visualization.
• Monitor, performance-tune, and refresh Tableau extracts and dashboards.
• Automate Tableau extract refresh using scripts and optimize data retrieval.
• Manage Tableau Server on Linux and end-to-end content deployments.
• Assist with bug prioritization and architectural enhancements.
• Design Tableau APIs and provide guidance on architecture and implementation.
