Job summary

HKA Enterprises is seeking a seasoned Safety & HSE professional in the Charleston area to oversee safety programs across project sites. You will assist with audits, identify risks, inspect facilities, and ensure compliance with all safety rules.

Strong emphasis on incident investigations, documentation, and training to elevate site safety culture. Requirements include 10+ years in electric utility safety, OSHA 10/30, and preferred OSHA 510/500.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety within the T&D/utility field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screening and fitness evaluation required.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing safety audits.
• Identify risks and manage incidents, with investigation.
• Conduct inspections and assessments.
• Record keeping and general admin duties.
• Ensure compliance with safety/environmental/project rules.
• Assist in accident investigations and reporting.
• Help with driver qualification documentation.
• Assist in training functions.
• Provide input to management.
• Enforce policies and procedures across sites.
• Identify problems and propose timely resolutions.
• Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Perform tooling and safety equipment inspections monthly/quarterly.
• Communicate effectively to large groups.
• Influence change and operational discipline for HSE.
• Other duties as assigned.
