Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Systems Validation Engineer to join the ETF team. You will perform system-level validation of IPMI, Redfish, BIOS, and firmware, and provide technical support to strategic customers.

You will work with cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis and deliver high-quality validation solutions. On-site deployments at customer data centers are common, and some remote support is required; travel 25–30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or information field.
• 8+ years in systems validation, firmware validation or technical support.
• Experience with BMC, IPMI, Redfish, BIOS validation and system-level troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level validation and testing of IPMI, Redfish, BIOS, firmware, and software tools for strategic customers.
• Provide technical support for customer issues by performing root cause analysis and driving resolution.
• Support on-site deployment and validation activities at customer data centers.
• Lead or participate in 8D reports documenting root causes and corrective actions.
• Create and maintain test plans, procedures, and customer status dashboards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and communicate updates to customers.
