Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Senior Systems Verification and Validation Engineer on a 12-month contract to support Acute Therapies.

You will define test strategies for system-, integration-, and hardware-level testing, develop V&V plans and reports, and drive continuous improvement to ensure regulatory compliance and product quality. You will apply statistical methods (DOE/ANOVA), manage risk analyses, and collaborate across disciplines to translate requirements

Qualifications

• Hands-on verification and validation test development for complex products.
• Systems thinking and structured problem solving across disciplines.
• Applied statistics and experimental design knowledge.
• Experience with electro-mechanical medical devices under quality systems.
• Product development in Agile/CI environments.
• Requirements and test-management tool experience (DOORS, ALM, Jama Connect, Polarion, Codebeamer).
• Ability to analyze data with Minitab, R, Python, or MATLAB.
• Develop dashboards and product performance reports (PowerBI, Monday.com, Smartsheet).
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to manage ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute test strategies for system-level, integration, and hardware-level testing.
• Develop and maintain V&V documentation including verification plans, protocols, reports, and traceability matrices.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance verification and validation efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish alternative verification approaches to minimize manual testing while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Characterize product performance using statistical tools to identify influential factors and worst-case conditions.
• Define defensible sample-size and analysis rationales based on risk and data.
• Turn data into actionable recommendations, communicating uncertainty and tradeoffs clearly.
• Develop deep understanding of product function and design intent to assess impacts of changes.
• Investigate unexpected results with structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Drive defects from detection to resolution and verification across disciplines.
• Communicate findings and recommendations with evidence to help prioritise issues.
• Anticipate obstacles, unblock work, and meet schedules while preserving rigor.
