Actalent is seeking a Sr Systems Support Engineer for a 12-month contract supporting Pleasanton and Santa Clara campuses and remote sites. You will configure and support firewalls, servers, and lab equipment, manage IPs, diagnose network issues, and ensure compliance with FDA/ISO standards.

Role requires 3+ years in a similar field, strong network validation, and collaboration with internal/external teams. This onsite role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits where eligible.

Job Description

We are seeking a Sr Systems Support Engineer to join our DSI RD Services Team. This is a contractor position responsible for providing comprehensive hardware, software, and networking support across our Pleasanton and Santa Clara campuses as well as remote external sites.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and set up firewalls, servers, and PC devices.

• Manage IP addresses and folder shares on instruments and servers.

• Diagnose network connectivity issues on VLANs, switches, and servers.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal network performance.

• Perform preventative maintenance, installation, and operational qualifications (IOQs), hardware repairs, part replacements, and system software upgrades.

• Accurately document all service activities in the electronic database.

• Coordinate requests via ServiceNow and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

• Participate in ongoing training to master instrumentation and guide other team members.

• Strictly comply with all safety policies, practices, and applicable FDA and ISO regulations related to instrument support and qualification.

Work Environment

The position is a 12-month contract with a possible extension, requiring 5 days onsite. The interview process includes one phone interview followed by an in-person interview

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Pleasanton, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66.00 - $74.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
