Job summary

Actalent seeks a Senior Software Engineer to develop applications in C++ and C# for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and automated test systems.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate on CANopen/EtherCAT communications while ensuring integration with motors, sensors and robotics. This role focuses on full lifecycle support from development to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7-10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ development.
• Experience with object-oriented programming principles and software design methodologies.
• Experience in developing Windows desktop applications and maintaining large-scale PC-based software applications.
• Hands-on experience integrating software with hardware systems and equipment.
• Proficiency in using source control and project management tools such as Git, Jira, and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software issues on complex physical machinery and equipment.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, system integration, testing, and deployment processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Poway, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $113000.00 - $170000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

401(k) with company match 5% annual profit sharing
