Job summary

NVIDIA's GeForce NOW team in Austin is seeking a Senior Systems Software Engineer with strong C++ and wireless networking to push real-time streaming performance over 5G and Wi‑Fi. This role focuses on automotive, robotics, and AI-informed connectivity.

You will partner with cloud networking and platform teams, mentor others, and develop KPIs and simulations to validate streaming under real-world conditions. A Master’s or PhD and 8+ years in the field are expected.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent in CS/EE.
8+ years of wireless networking and software development experience.
Hands-on experience with 5G, Wi‑Fi, or satellite connectivity.
Familiarity with 5G core networks and deployments across spectrum and architectures.
Strong C/C++ development, optimization, and debugging skills.
Deep understanding of streaming and connectivity tech: RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, QUIC, SCTP, STUN/TURN, ICE, NAT Traversal.
Experience debugging connectivity or streaming issues using logs, telemetry, and network diagnostics.
Strong analytical and cross-layer problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Build low-latency C/C++ software for real-time streaming over wireless networks.
Develop connectivity solutions using cellular and Wi‑Fi platform APIs.
Analyze logs, telemetry, and diagnostics to fix latency and recovery issues.
Create network quality KPIs, test frameworks, and wireless simulations.
Collaborate with cloud networking and automotive partners to scale streaming solutions.
Mentor engineers and advance guidelines for wireless connectivity.
Model network behavior to identify improvement opportunities.
