Bart & Associates, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Developer, Systems Software to support the U.S. Army INSCOM CME IT Support Services.

Primary duties include software development, visualization, and data analysis for the Army GEOINT Office. Location: Fort Gordon, GA, with an anticipated award in Jan 2027 and a start in Jan 2027. Responsibilities include designing, testing, and documenting system-level software; coordinating with analysts and engineers; enhancing software to meet performance needs;

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in software development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced programming skills (e.g., Python, Java) and experience with data analysis/visualization libraries to develop custom tools.
• Certifications in specific programming languages or platforms are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and test systems-level software and related solutions; establish operational specifications and analyze software requirements.
• Assess user needs and determine feasibility of software designs within project time and cost constraints.
• Develop or direct software testing, validation procedures, programming activities, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and other stakeholders on system capabilities, limitations, interfaces, and performance requirements.
• Modify and enhance existing software to resolve defects, accommodate new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance.
• Design, develop, and modify software systems using computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis techniques.
• Determine software system performance standards and consult with customers on software design, maintenance, and technical issues.
• Prepare reports and project correspondence; coordinate with project managers on data-processing capabilities and constraints.
• Support GEOINT data visualization and custom-tool development in alignment with the contract’s software and analytics mission.
