Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software modules for provisioning, onboarding, and platform services in a hyperscale environment. You will own components end-to-end and collaborate across software, firmware, and hardware layers to ensure reliability.

You will work with platform engineering, operations, firmware teams, and data center partners to improve automation, CI/CD, validation, and conformance testing as part of a dynamic engineering team.

Qualifications

• Designs and maintains system software modules for servers, storage, networking, and GPU subsystems in a hyperscale environment.
• Develops tooling to automate hardware provisioning and onboarding of servers to large-scale fleets.
• Coordinates with platform engineering, operations, firmware development, silicon/board vendors, and data center teams.
• Diagnoses and resolves issues across software, firmware, and hardware for reliability and availability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain standard and non-standard system software modules for managing, monitoring, and provisioning components.
• Independently design and deploy software layers to automate provisioning and onboarding of servers.
• Integrate and validate firmware with hardware components; assist in bring-up and diagnostics.
• Diagnose and resolve cross-layer issues in DevOps and incident response contexts.
• Collaborate with platform teams to support hardware lifecycle operations.
