Job summary

SAIC's Systems Software Architect role at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL leads embedded software development for military systems. The candidate will drive architecture, design, and implementation across requirements, tests, and integration, with emphasis on real-time embedded systems and safety/cyber-security awareness.

The position requires self-motivation, strong leadership, and experience with UML/SysML, C++, and DoDAF/MoDAF reference architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline; 9+ years or 6 additional years in lieu of degree
• U.S. Citizenship required; Interim Secret clearance with ability to obtain Secret
• Experience in Agile System/Software Architecture methodology
• Experience in DoDAF, MoDAF, UPDM and modeling (UML/SysML)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on High-level architecture, design, and cross-functional concerns
• Support technical planning, model requirements, use cases, systems and software architecture
• Develop Reference architecture models and Software Design documentation
• Develop prototypes and critical software components
• Develop and integrate system-level and software module requirements for reusability across programs
• Support systems integration, validation, and traceability
• Become an expert in Systems and User interfaces; provide technical support for software systems
• Coordinate technical interchange and decision-making between internal and external teams
• Work across the full product lifecycle from planning to maintenance
