Job summary

ASML US, LLC is seeking a Principle Software Engineer to own the software roadmap and drive cross-functional system design across hardware, firmware, OS, desktop and web layers. You will lead a team of junior architects, champion best practices, and ensure robust, scalable software across the full stack.

The role emphasizes architectural leadership, collaboration with manufacturing and service teams, and delivering measurable improvements in code health, testing and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience developing software with C#, .NET and C++.
• 10+ years of experience architecting and designing systems (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Proficient in .NET technologies, C# or C++.
• Hands-on experience with WCF and WPF.
• Experience with state machine, distributed, parallel programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop systems software roadmap based on overall product needs.
• Define roadmap for software evolutionary and new technology insertion.
• Develop innovative software solutions to contribute towards product and technology roadmap.
• Instill commonality as part of roadmap to improve operational efficiency.
• Demonstrate systematic problem-solving to resolve problems and standardize solutions.
• Improve operational efficiency in product development during early phases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to system design changes for manufacturability, serviceability, and testability.
• Decompose complex problems and derive software requirements to propose a feasible solution.
• Enable successful technical integration of hardware and software system solutions.
