Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer specialized in security to join the Data Center Systems Software team. You will investigate vulnerabilities, assess impact, and strengthen the SDL across HGX, DGX, and MGX platforms.

Work involves coordinating fixes, automating triage, and driving secure development practices in a remote environment. We value candidates who have 5+ years in security engineering, hands-on vulnerability remediation, and proficiency with Python automation.

Qualifications

5+ years of software or security engineering experience.
Experience investigating and remediating vulnerabilities with familiarity with CVSS scoring and CWE classification.
Experience with secure development practices and security testing tools (static analysis, fuzzing, software composition analysis).
Familiarity with server firmware and systems software; experience building automation using Python or similar language.
Experience with modern AI and agents; AI-forward mindset and adoption of new tools/techniques.
Ability to drive resolution across distributed engineering teams.
Strong embedded systems fundamentals: firmware architecture, memory safety, hardware–software interfaces.
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable with remote teams.

Responsibilities

Investigate and reproduce vulnerabilities, assess impact and affected products.
Coordinate vulnerability remediation with engineering teams and PSIRT.
Develop or review security fixes, create regression tests, coordinate updates across releases.
Build automation for vulnerability triage, analysis, and tracking.
Improve SDL practices through threat modeling and security reviews.
Promote SDL adoption across data center software teams.
