RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer with DoD security clearance to perform CPI analysis and SSE requirements development for trusted, secure solutions. This onsite role requires experience in Anti-Tamper, cybersecurity, and real-time embedded systems on DoD programs, with travel up to 25%.

Ideal candidates will have a STEM degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; US citizenship is required.
• Experience with Anti-Tamper (HW, SW, Systems), Cybersecurity or Software Assurance.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive technical (hands-on) experience in Systems/Software Engineering architecture and requirements.
• Experience designing, implementing, testing and fielding real-time embedded security-oriented solutions on DoD programs.

This is an onsite position at Raytheon in Goleta, CA.

What You Will Do

• Perform Critical Program Information (CPI) analysis
• Perform SSE requirements generation, derivation, decomposition, and analysis
• Perform and document SSE trade-studies and provide path forward recommendations
• Generate systems engineering modeling and artifacts, including functional block, sequence, and activity diagrams
• Develop the program Anti-Tamper Plan
• Develop and execute Verification and Validation (V&V) Plans and Procedures
• Present in internal and external customer reviews and program milestones
• Report tasking status and communications with program and functional leadership
• Travel up to 25% as necessary

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Experience with design/development/implementation in at least one of the following areas: Anti-Tamper (HW, SW, Systems), Cybersecurity, Software Assurance
• Minimum 3 years of progressive technical (hands‑on) experience related to Systems/Software Engineering architecture, requirements, determination, development, and implementation
• Experience in designing, implementing, testing and fielding real‑time embedded security‑oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs with secure systems technologies, methodologies, policies and guidelines

We Prefer

• Experience in generating Anti-Tamper, Cyber Security and/or program protection requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and/or policies
• Software, Firmware, & Microelectronics Engineering, Cryptography and FPGA design
• Experience in generating systems requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans and/or policies
• Attack threat modeling / Critical Program Information Assessments
• Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH
• Background in both Systems Engineering and Software Engineering practices
• Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Business Administration and/or Robotics
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with coworkers, suppliers, stakeholders and customers in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD.
