Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation seeks a Systems Security Engineer III to design, implement, and maintain secure IT systems. You will lead incident response, digital forensics, and security monitoring while guiding junior engineers in a mission-focused security program.

Required: Bachelor's in a related field and 5+ years of IT security experience with a TS/SCI eligibility. Travel and hybrid work are possible in the Colorado area.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related engineering or IT discipline with cybersecurity focus.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and standards.
• Experience with NIST and ISO 27001 controls and practices.
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of secure IT systems and networks.
• Perform expert-level security monitoring and tuning.
• Manage and lead complex incident response and digital forensics activities.
• Conduct thorough risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Develop, implement, and oversee security controls and protocols.
• Research and integrate new security tools and technologies.
• Document, analyze, and report on security breaches and their implications.
• Mentor junior security engineers and contribute to their professional growth.
