APT Research is seeking a Senior Systems Safety Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support the MAPSS Safety contract for the DoD. The role involves implementing system safety processes for safety-critical software and hardware, ensuring compliance with MIL-STD-882 and DO-178C/DO-331, and developing technical solutions to complex problems.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific field with extensive system safety experience.
• Experience implementing system safety/software safety processes IAW MIL-STD-882 and industry standards.
• Familiarity with DoD/aerospace safety requirements & policy (AR385-17, IEEE C95.1, DOD4145.26).
• Ability to develop and present safety assessments to diverse audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Implement system safety processes and methodologies for safety-critical software and hardware.
• Familiar with MIL-STD-882 and DO-178C/DO-331 for safety analyses.
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems and brief to technical audiences.
• Create clear technical reports and presentations from analyzed data.
• Lead and facilitate technical meetings and working groups.
• Mitigate hazards in complex systems and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
