Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a System Safety Engineer to drive safety across multiple programs, aligning with MIL-STD-882E and program requirements. You will perform FHA, FTA, SCFTA, and FMECA analyses, develop safety requirements, and collaborate with design teams to implement robust safety solutions.

You will identify hazards, manage risk, support milestones, and lead corrective actions from investigations while coordinating with stakeholders and regulators to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical/Aerospace/Systems Engineering or related field.
• MS degree preferred in relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with safety-critical hardware and software in defense/aerospace.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E and related safety standards.
• Strong safety analysis skills including FTA, FHA, SCFTA, and FMECA.

Responsibilities

• Execute System Safety program plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E and program requirements.
• Conduct safety analyses at system and sub-system levels (FTA, FHA, SCFTA, FMECA).
• Develop safety requirements and collaborate with design teams to implement solutions.
• Identify hazards, manage risk, and track mitigation actions.
• Support Design Requirements Process and Development Milestone Reviews.
• Lead Safety corrective actions from RCCA investigations and Mishap Reports.
• Verify and validate hazard reduction measures and risk controls.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and customer/regulatory engagements as needed.
