Job summary

PKM Steel Service, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Systems Specialist to direct development, specify system requirements and implement technical solutions to improve operational efficiency and decision making.

You will maintain the company’s database systems, code and test applications, coordinate projects, and serve as a liaison between operations and management while adhering to confidentiality and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in systems development, implementation and management.
• Deep knowledge of system analysis and design techniques.
• Proficiency with Visual FoxPro, SQL databases and data processing tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex IT systems.
• Effective communication with management and users.

Responsibilities

• Provide work direction and develop system specifications.
• Support software/hardware for the company’s database and telecommunications systems.
• Code, test, debug and document programs, and enhance existing ones.
• Interface with management and users to analyze requirements and estimate costs.
• Coordinate testing, hardware configurations and downtime minimization.
• Act as technical liaison between departments and information systems management.
• Prepare administrative reports and communicate priority changes clearly.
