Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) seeks a Senior Software Developer with systems programming expertise and a strong database engineering background to explore how database engines work internally and modify software to meet mission needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
• Typically 10 years of software engineering experience, including Intelligence Community support.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
• Experience with programming concepts and Agile, DevOps, or DevSecOps.
• Hands-on C, C++, or Rust systems programming.
• Experience with OS interfaces, processes, IPC, concurrency, multithreading, synchronization, signals, and memory/resource management.
• Experience with socket-based communications, database internals, network protocols, or similar low-level development.
• Ability to analyze unfamiliar code and assess performance, interoperability, concurrency, and security impacts.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, query optimization, and access controls; understanding of graph databases.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and cloud deployments.
• Experience with OIDC, authentication, authorization, and Zero Trust components (PDP, PAP, PIP, PEP).
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Agile Developer or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
• Security+ or higher-level cybersecurity certification.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, maintain, test, and deploy secure, scalable applications and services using C, C++, Rust, Go, Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Apply systems programming principles to develop performant and reliable software components.
• Develop software supporting process creation, monitoring, control, and inter-process communication.
• Build concurrent and multithreaded applications with proper synchronization and memory management.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot networked applications using sockets and client-server architectures.
• Analyze database engine source code, communication protocols, and serialization to support development.
• Trace requests through database engine code to identify processing logic and effects of changes.
• Develop relational data-storage solutions using SQL, including data modeling and query optimization.
• Develop and integrate graph database solutions for relationship-based data modeling and retrieval.
• Work across relational and graph databases, object storage, and search/indexing engines (PostgreSQL, Redis, RxDB, Neo4j, S3, Elasticsearch).
• Refactor and modernize services, migrating functionality from Python to other languages where appropriate.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage infrastructure.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud-hosted software with dependencies on compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
• Integrate applications with identity providers for authentication, authorization, federation, and SSO.
• Implement OpenID Connect integrations including token validation and session management.
• Incorporate Zero Trust Architecture principles in software designs across policy, administration, information, and enforcement components.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, and mission stakeholders to embed security controls and auditability throughout SDLC.
• Produce and maintain software designs, interface specs, deployment procedures, and security implementation details.
