Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Systems Integration Engineer to join the Chinook Program supporting an Intelligence Community customer. You will lead integration across apps, infrastructure, data, interfaces, and mission capabilities, guiding cross-team collaborations and ensuring end-to-end system readiness.

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. Location options include Chantilly, VA and nearby hubs, with a focus on mission-critical, secure environments.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Degree requirements: CS/SE-related with 8–12 years experience (or Master’s with 6–10 years). Doctorate considered.
• Experience with systems or software integration in complex environments.
• Experience with REST APIs, web services, databases, messaging, and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and with technical documentation.
• Collaborates across software, infrastructure, security, test and systems engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration activities across applications, infrastructure, data, network, security, and mission-system components.
• Develop and maintain integration strategies, plans, procedures, and docs.
• Analyze system requirements to identify interfaces, constraints, and risks.
• Define and document system interfaces and integration requirements.
• Coordinate integration activities across multiple Agile teams.
• Lead technical integration sessions and troubleshoot cross-system issues.
• Develop integration approaches for APIs, microservices, databases, and messaging systems.
• Coordinate environments and dependencies for integration and testing.
• Support end-to-end system integration and validation.
• Partner with Test Engineering on integration test strategies.
• Investigate defects and perform root-cause analysis.
• Analyze logs and data flows to isolate issues.
• Coordinate resolution of defects across teams.
• Support deployment, release, and operational readiness.
• Evaluate impact of changes on integration and new capabilities.
• Identify risks early and communicate to leadership.
