Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Integration Engineer to support the Chinook Program for an IC customer. This role centers on integrating applications, data, interfaces, and infrastructure into a cohesive mission solution in Gaithersburg, MD and other locations.

You will lead cross‑discipline integration efforts, coordinate multiple Agile teams, define interfaces, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring deployments meet readiness and security requirements, including TS/SCI

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• 8–12 years of prior relevant experience with a Bachelor’s, or 6–10 years with a Master’s.
• Experience with system integration and complex enterprise applications.
• Experience with REST APIs, web services, databases, messaging, and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with requirements management and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration activities across applications, infrastructure, data, network, security, and mission-system components.
• Develop and maintain system integration strategies, plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Analyze system and software requirements to identify integration dependencies, interfaces, constraints, and risks.
• Define and document system interfaces and integration requirements.
• Coordinate integration activities across multiple Agile engineering teams.
• Lead technical integration working sessions and troubleshoot complex cross-system issues.
• Develop integration approaches for APIs, microservices, databases, messaging systems, and external interfaces.
• Coordinate environments and technical dependencies required for integration and testing.
• Support end-to-end system integration and validation activities.
• Partner with Test Engineering to develop integration and end-to-end test strategies.
• Investigate defects and integration failures and lead root-cause analysis.
• Analyze logs and data flows to isolate issues.
• Coordinate resolution of integration defects across engineering teams.
• Support deployment, release, and operational readiness activities.
• Evaluate technical impacts of changes and new capabilities.
• Identify risks early and communicate to leadership.
• Maintain integration schedules and readiness criteria.
• Support Agile ceremonies and technical demos.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with customer and mission stakeholders.
