Job summary

Diaconia is seeking a Senior Systems Integration Engineer to join a mission-focused team in the United States. The role requires deep experience in systems design, integration, and life-cycle risk assessment to ensure airworthiness and safe operation of weapon systems.

You will work across engineering disciplines to develop, deploy, and sustain integrated solutions, supporting program offices and ensuring compliance with DoD and AF standards. U.S.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline.
• Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five (5) years in the DoD.
• BA/BS degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
• Apply understanding of DoD, AF, and common engineering principles to improve performance and sustainability of AF and joint service weapon systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Skype/Lync), Adobe Acrobat, and web applications including Internet Explorer.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level. U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering including systems design and integration across manufacturing, quality, and industrial engineering domains.
• Assist in developing, deploying, and maintaining processes to ensure weapon systems are integrated, manufactured, sustained, and safely operated.
• Understand and apply AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness through standardized processes and flight authorizations.
• Provide OSS&E and airworthiness processes, risk assessments, safety analyses, and recommendations for high-priority safety issues.
• Demonstrate knowledge of systems engineering across system definition, development, integration, verification, and life-cycle risk assessments.
• Provide system integration guidance to aircraft program offices for installation and maintenance, and review proposals for feasibility and capability.
