Job summary

Odyssey in Ohio seeks a Senior Systems Integration Engineer to apply DoD 5000-series policies and lead system integration across C‑130 modification programs. You will develop requirements, conduct trade studies, and support airworthiness and OSS&E evaluations.

This role requires DoD experience, ABET-credentialed education, and the ability to work within large distributed environments, including Windows/Linux platforms and networking concepts.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in a related field from an ABET-accredited engineering program; ten years of experience, five in the DoD.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an ABET-accredited program and 12 years of experience, five of which in the DoD.

Responsibilities

• Apply DoDD 5000‑series guidance and AF policies to SOF acquisition activities.
• Develop system and subsystem requirements and translate them into design criteria and specifications.
• Conduct system integration analyses, trade studies, and risk assessments for weapon systems.
• Assist in developing system performance requirements, integration objectives, and estimates for design, development, and sustainment.
• Review engineering proposals, designs, specs, and change packages; provide cost, schedule, and performance optimization input.
• Conduct evaluations supporting airworthiness (MIL‑HDBK‑516), safety (MIL‑STD‑882), and OSS&E.
• Support reviews, TIMs, and program reviews with technical input and documentation.
• Lead system integration in large-scale distributed and virtualized environments, with networking and Windows/Linux proficiency.
