Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineering SME to support AFRL/RA weapon projects and testing. You will advise leadership on engineering matters, translate requirements into weapon system specs, and help optimize technical performance across portfolios.

The role emphasizes DoD acquisition processes, integration across disciplines, and delivering clear technical briefings for stakeholders in a dynamic national security environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 20 years of Systems Engineering work experience focused on DoD DoW systems.
• At least 3 years of experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment, preferably recently.
• Exquisite knowledge of Government Reference Architectures (GRAs) and Weapon Open System Architecture (WOSA).

Responsibilities

• Apply DoD, AF, and engineering principles to advance S&T weapon projects through all test phases.
• Apply GRAs/WOSA knowledge to ensure S&T weapon projects are compliant.
• Translate user requirements into weapon system requirements for design, development and testing.
• Perform technical and mission analyses to support programs and projects.
• Develop subsystem concepts and perform trade-off assessments.
• Provide technical and programmatic feedback and briefings to AFRL/RA activities.
• Support risk management and configuration control processes.
• Deliver training, facilitation, and decision-support for group efforts.
