Blue Origin in the United States seeks a Senior Reliability Systems Engineer to lead multi-functional reliability engineering from requirements through verification, integration, and operations for lunar lander programs.

You will drive FTA, FMECA, and reliability analyses while coordinating across subsystems with a systems-level view to meet end-to-end vehicle reliability targets.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in spacecraft, launch vehicle, aerospace, or other safety-critical complex systems.
• Proven experience in Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), FMECA, Reliability Block Diagrams, and reliability evaluation.
• Ability to work effectively across teams and communicate clearly (written and verbal).

• Support integration and test campaigns: procedure reviews, readiness reviews, test execution support, data review, and requirement closure.
• Communicate status and technical decisions clearly to program leadership.

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

The MK2 Crew Lunar Lander team seeks a Senior Reliability Systems Engineer to manage multi-functional reliability engineering from requirements through verification, integration, and operations. You will lead the technical progress across spacecraft subsystems and secure the end-to-end vehicle reliability targets. This opportunity is perfect for a systems engineer who thrives in complex, safety-critical programs and can balance detailed technical knowledge with systems-level precision.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field

• 7+ years of relevant experience in spacecraft, launch vehicle, aerospace, or other safety-critical complex systems.

• Proven experience in Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), Reliability Block Diagrams, and reliability evaluation.

• Ability to work effectively across teams and communicate clearly (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on crewed spacecraft and/or human-rated systems (safety-driven design, hazard processes, certification-style rigor).

• Experience with NASA certification of flight readiness process for a new system.

• Familiarity with systems engineering guidelines and tools (e.g., DOORS/Jama, Jira, configuration management).

• Experience working on large complex programs with multiple partners.

Base Pay Range for:

CO applicants is $133,500.00 - $186,898.95WA applicants is $145,188.00 - $203,263.20
