Job summary

Dematic is seeking a creative and results-driven Expert Systems Engineer to drive testing, integration, and validation of our high-tech solution. You will join an interdisciplinary technical team that validates our solution and drives testing and delivery to customers.

The role focuses on technical development, testing, integration, volume and acceptance testing of the overall Dematic solution, coordinating simulations, interfaces and test plans across HW/SW/Controls/IT/subsystems.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Electrical, Controls, or Software Engineering required.
Master's degree in engineering preferred.
10+ years engineering experience in material handling industry preferred.
Strong technical documentation and customer-facing abilities.
Willingness to travel about 60% annually.

Responsibilities

Validate turnover from Sales to Project execution; ensure feasibility of what was sold.
Participate in engineering discussions and actively contribute to the project.
Attend and facilitate layout discussions with the customer.
Attend and facilitate controls discussions with the customer.
Support Functional Description Specification workshops with the customer.
Generate System Specification for customer approval and understanding.
Define interfaces between HW/SW/Controls/IT/Subsystems.
Coordinate required simulation updates and integrate results.
Create and execute test planning and management for system verification.
Perform FAT, internal emulation, system integration testing, throughput testing, acceptance testing.
Guide system tuning and define adjustments.
