Job summary

Dematic in the United States seeks an Expert Systems Engineer to validate and deliver high-tech Dematic solutions. You will join an interdisciplinary team responsible for development, testing, integration, volume and acceptance testing of the overall Dematic solution.

The role can be located in major field offices including Dallas, TX, and requires extensive travel. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical, Controls, or Software Engineering (MS preferred) with 10+ years in engineering,

Qualifications

BS in Electrical, Controls, or Software Engineering required.
Master or Advanced Degree in Engineering preferred.
10+ years' engineering experience, preferably in material handling.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to create technical documentation and interact with customers.

Responsibilities

Validate the sold scope at turnover from Sales to Project execution.
Participate in engineering discussions and contribute to the project.
Attend and facilitate layout discussions with internal teams and customers.
Attend and facilitate controls discussions with internal teams and customers.
Support Functional Description Specification Workshops with customer.
Generate System Specification for customer approval.
Define interfaces between components (HW/SW/Controls/IT/Subsystems).
Coordinate simulation updates and integrate results into the project.
Create and execute test planning and management (FAT, emulation, system integration, throughput, acceptance).
Guide system tuning and adjustments.
