Job summary

Capitalsolutionsgroup is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Enterprise Infrastructure Services group and contribute to DES projects and enterprise IT modernization at Fort Meade, MD. The role involves leading IA-focused design activities, implementing and evaluating IT systems, and guiding teams through development cycles for secure, scalable enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

Fix problems in existing systems and enhance current systems.
Participate in analysis, design and construction of next generation IT systems.
Understand customer needs and translate into implementable requirements for development teams.
Experience with TCP/IP networks, Windows, UNIX, Linux, Oracle/MS Access/Sybase, Tivoli and PeopleSoft.
Apply ITIL, SEI/CMM principles to engineering work.
Provide oversight/management of systems engineering teams.
Provide technical project management or leadership to engineering teams and projects.

Responsibilities

Participate in IA system hardware and software design with a focus on leading requirements generation, allocation and tracking during the development cycle.
Lead evaluation of technology studies and implementation plans.
Support security certification efforts and ensure system supportability.
Coordinate engineering teams and projects across the IT infrastructure.
