Falls Technology LLC in Chantilly, VA, seeks an experienced Systems Engineer / SME to join a mission-focused team. This hands-on role covers the full technology stack from networks to cloud platforms and databases, reporting to senior technical leadership.

You will drive modernization, design detailed engineering solutions, lead cloud deployments, and ensure availability, security, and performance across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Hands-on systems engineering experience in complex environments.
• Experience with networks, compute, storage, OS, middleware, databases, platforms, and applications.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and cloud-based architectures.
• Ability to translate technical issues into mission impact.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on systems engineering across network, compute, storage, operating systems, middleware, databases, platforms and applications.
• Analyze existing environments and document architectures.
• Develop detailed designs for modernization and transformation initiatives.
• Lead system and cloud implementations, migrations, upgrades and refreshes.
• Engineer solutions for availability, scalability, security, and compliance.
• Integrate infrastructure with DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines.
• Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, platforms, databases, networks, and apps.
• Perform root-cause analysis and drive resolution.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve system-level problems.
• Develop architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Brief leadership on system status, risks, and decisions.
