Job summary

Applied Network Solutions, Inc. (ANS) seeks an Information Technology Senior Consultant (Sr. Systems Engineer) to join our Fort Meade, MD team.

The role focuses on secure network design, implementation, and maintenance across campus and remote locations, with a strong emphasis on STIG/Security compliance and incident response. You will collaborate with senior IT staff, external vendors, and customers to plan and execute large projects, ensuring reliability of voice, data, and video networks

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Experience with Arista, Aruba, Plexxi, F5 load balancers, and Dell networking devices.
• Familiar with STIG/STN requirements and Nessus Security Center.
• Familiar with network performance monitoring tools (CloudVision, MFNA, WhatsUp Gold).
• Designs and oversees voice, data, and video network implementations.
• Coordinate with senior IT staff, customers, and vendors on projects.
• Develop and enforce security procedures to mitigate incidents.
• Create and update network documentation and standard procedures.
• Manage large, complex IT projects and coordinate outages.
• Conduct site surveys and gather customer requirements for complex designs.
• Design interconnections based on customer, carrier, and backbone needs.
• Initiate tasks to ensure availability and reliability of services.
