Job summary

Applied Network Solutions, Inc. (ANS) seeks a System Vulnerability Analyst to protect missions at Annapolis Junction, MD. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, red team experience, and deep vulnerability assessment across HW, SW, and processes.

The analyst will produce reports, assess threats using HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, and OSINT, and develop countermeasures. OCONUS travel periodically required.

Responsibilities

• Identify vulnerabilities and attacks to the design and operation of a system (hardware, software, personnel, procedures, logistics, and physical security).
• Compare and contrast various system attack techniques and develop operationally effective countermeasures.
• Produce formal and informal reports, briefings, and perspectives of actual and potential attacks against the systems or missions.
• Identify vulnerabilities and cybersecurity threats to programs, functions, products, applications and systems.
• OCONUS travel is periodically required - red team experience required.
• Leverage HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and other information to assess vulnerabilities and conduct security evaluations.
• Analyze and characterize identified vulnerabilities and threats.
• Relate identified vulnerabilities and threats and the effects of the operations and missions supported by those systems.
• Compare and contrast various cryptographic attack techniques and develop operationally affective countermeasures.
• Provide formal and informal reports, briefings, and perspectives of actual and potential attacks.
• Collaborate with threat analysts to conduct comprehensive threat assessments of network cryptographic devices, components, and technologies.
• Use threat analysis and technical knowledge to provide security guidance and develop mitigations to threats and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure secure transmission by designing, evaluating, or modifying encryption schemes or algorithms.
• Apply mathematical or computational methos and lines of reasoning
• Perform security analysis, evaluation and guidance on the design and implementation of cryptographic and communication protocols
