Job summary

Sierra Space is hiring a Systems Engineer III to contribute to the development and implementation of advanced system solutions across the product lifecycle.

You will lead top-down decomposition of requirements, ensure traceability, and shepherd teams toward compliant, cohesive architectures while coordinating with engineers and subject matter experts to reduce risk and drive successful execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation and allocation.
• Knowledge of systems architecture, integration, and V&V principles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

• Specify, architect, and integrate complex system solutions with cross‑functional teams.
• Derive, decompose, allocate, and trace system requirements and architectures.
• Support milestone reviews by creating artifacts and ensuring compliance.
• Identify and manage technical risks and contribute to continuous improvement.
