Job summary

Teradyne seeks a Systems Engineer for Field Integration (SiPh Test Solutions) in North Reading, MA. You will own end-to-end integration, bring-up, and acceptance of silicon photonics test systems from factory readiness to customer installation and qualification.

You will lead multi-domain integration across optics, RF/electronics, firmware, motion, thermal, and software, coordinating with engineering, field services, and customers to ensure first-good wafer and timely readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 7+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 5+ years.
• Hands-on experience integrating, bringing up, commissioning, and accepting complex capital equipment.
• Experience supporting FAT/SAT protocols and customer acceptance activities.
• Strong fundamentals in optics, electronics, RF/high-speed signaling, and software.
• Proficiency in test automation programming (.NET, C#, VB, Python).

Responsibilities

• Lead first-article and new-configuration bring-up of silicon photonics test cells, including tester, optical engine, and software stack.
• Develop bring-up plans, power-on sequences, and system-level characterization against spec.
• Drive root-cause analysis for integration issues across multiple domains.
• Author and maintain FAT/SAT protocols, acceptance criteria, and customer sign-off docs.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, suppliers, and customers to manage punch lists and risks.
• Support installation, re-qualification, escalation, and ECO activities for installed systems.
• Represent field and factory perspectives in design reviews and readiness assessments.
• Build strong relationships with account teams, field orgs, and customers.
