Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer to ensure the operational functionality of system releases, collaborating with STEI stakeholders, development and support teams to integrate secure capabilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10 years of relevant experience, including system-level work across requirements, design, risk, performance, testing, and post-delivery support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering.
• 10 years of full-time professional experience in systems engineering with system-level experience in requirements definition, system design parameters, concepts operation, risk assessment, productivity studies/analyses, performance analyses, test and evaluation, post-delivery support of COE or EW Systems.
• Three years of full-time professional experience in each of: Windows and Linux OS, Linux system administrator, hardware and software configuration management of tracking bugs, enhancements, requirements, risks, test results, and tasks; system and network security activities including design, implementation, configuration and enforcement of security controls on network, hardware and software components.
• One year of full-time professional experience in Life-Cycle system design or equivalent academic background

Responsibilities

• Providing on-site engineering, support, and research of SIGINT/IO/EW/CSO systems
• Identifying, deconflicting and orchestrating integration of innovative technology
• Supporting systems engineering over a broad range of hardware types including RF assemblies, power supplies, FPGAs, DSPs, network/server equipment, and embedded architectures
• Planing, testing, and providing technical expertise to identify innovative technology
• Evaluating vendor capabilities to provide required products and services
• Analyzing, interpreting, and generating engineering schematics and change notices
• Performing system and performance modeling
• Performing root cause analysis
• Designing hardware with respect to component/assembly analysis, specification, integration, and testing
• Reviewing RF System/Subsystem analysis and specification
