Job summary

Versa Networks is seeking Sr. Systems Engineers to assist customers and partners in evaluating, adopting, and expanding the use of our Secure SD-WAN, SSE, and SASE technology. You will support pre-sales efforts, conduct vendor workshops, and validate deployments with hands-on testing.

The role requires deep networking and security knowledge, experience with cloud and SaaS architectures, and travel up to 30%. Join a fast-paced, innovative team driving secure networking solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and designing or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.
• Knowledge on Cloud security solutions (FWaaS, DLP, CASB, RBI and Malware prevention).
• Knowledge on security technologies (proxies, SSL/TLS, VPNs, Active Directory/SAML/LDAP, threat prevention).
• Understanding networking and security architectures on the SASE framework.
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack and operation.
• Knowledge on WAN technologies and protocols (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, Multicast).
• Experience architecting/managing large-scale, high performing enterprise networking and security solutions.
• Knowledge on Linux administration.
• Frequent travel will be required as part of this role (30%).
• Bonus: SaaS architectures, public/private cloud tech (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, VMware); Shell/Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support and expertise to customers and partners to achieve sales targets.
• Establish trusted advisory role with CIOs and CISOs of strategic customers and partners.
• Enable and/or update partner network on product evolution.
• Conduct workshops and product evaluations with prospects or customers.
• Perform hands-on tests to validate proofs-of-concept, network designs and deployments.
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs.
• Provide market and product feedback to product management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive solutions.
• Author whitepapers and customer-facing content.
