Qualifications

• 5+ Years with Bachelors in Science; 3+ Years with Masters; 1+ Year with PhD.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain within scope.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 Natural and Induced Environmental Test Methodology, MIL-HDBK-344, MIL-HDBK-310, SMC-S-016, RCC 319, DOORS v7.X.
• Familiarity with Commercial and Industrial test methods (IEC 60068, RTCA DO-160, ASTM, SAE).

Responsibilities

• Decompose parent level requirements into lower-level requirements based on service life, use case, and CONOPS.
• Own the environments for equipment; add derived environmental figures/tables in the Environmental Criteria Document.
• Review internal and external vendor performance specs and verification methods.
• Support internal and external (vendor) Design Reviews.
• Witness testing as the Cognizant Environments Engineer.
• Develop and review requirements, verification methods, and architecture.
