Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks a Systems Engineer to act as the focal point for the program, owning the system baseline and ensuring consistency across CONOPS, requirements, design, and test.

You will coordinate systems, software, hardware, test and operations teams, translating mission threads into concrete requirements and design decisions. The role involves driving requirements development with customers, creating integration strategies, V&V plans, and detailed test procedures, using MBSE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 3+ years or PhD with 1+ year.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of application.
• Experience with system requirements and ICDs.
• Ability to perform requirements analysis, allocation, and traceability from high-level needs to components and services.
• Ability to specify and validate requirements for build/deploy/rollback in a cloud environment.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation (requirements, interface specs, diagrams).
• Familiarity with reading/creating MBSE models (CAMEO/DOORS/MBSE).

Responsibilities

• Serve as SE focal point for the program across lifecycle phases.
• Own system technical baseline and ensure CONOPS–design–test alignment.
• Coordinate multi-discipline teams to resolve issues and drive decisions.
• Capture mission threads and translate them into requirements and design.
• Lead requirements development with customers and stakeholders.
• Develop integration strategies, V&V plans, and detailed test plans.
• Use modeling/simulation and MBSE artifacts to support decisions.
• Identify risks and mitigation plans; present results to stakeholders.
• Support proposals and technical volumes for new business or modifications.
