Job summary

QED Systems, LLC is seeking a Senior Engineer in Alabama for full-time work supporting Project Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PM PNT). This remote role requires active Secret clearance and involves substantial travel.

Responsibilities include design, integration, calibration, field support, and operations at diverse sites. Qualified candidates typically hold MA/MS (or BS with significant experience) in electronics/electrical engineering and have 10+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Degree and experience requirements for a senior electrical/electronic engineering role.
• Active clearance level: Secret is required.
• Travel: at least 50% travel expected, domestic and international.

Responsibilities

• Supports design, development and integration of electrical/electronic engineering projects.
• Performs system integration activities and installation of electrical/electronic systems.
• Supports lifecycle engineering efforts from design to field support.
• Analyses, troubleshoots and implements corrective actions for complex system issues.
• Install, configure and validate timing equipment and sensors for GCS operations.
• Calibrate timing devices and verify synchronization against reference signals.
• Maintain wiring diagrams, signal paths, calibration data and test results.
• Provide technical support for Site Installs and annual maintenance at global locations.
• Execute emergency maintenance and conduct tabletop exercises to refine procedures.
• As needed, assist with site visits, maintenance and equipment installation.

BS degree with 16 years of experience substituted for MA/MS

Engineering degree in electronics or electrical engineering preferred
