Job summary

Pratt & Whitney seeks a Senior System Integration & Test Engineer to lead hardware/software integration, verification, and test activities in a String facility/HWIL environment. You will interface hardware with software, develop test plans, and support program engineers through planning and execution.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in STEM, proficiency with MATLAB/Python/C/C++, Linux, and shell scripting, with experience in radar data analysis and system testing.

Qualifications

• Typical requirement: degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, and/or other programming language.
• Experience with systems engineering, radar data analysis, integration, verification, validation, and/or system testing.
• Preferred: Early Warning Radar systems; MATLAB, Linux (Red Hat), and shell scripting for integration and test analysis.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure electronic hardware setups with software builds for integration, verification, and test activities.
• Interface hardware with software and configure interfaces with networked systems; document test activities and inquiries.
• Participate in integration and test planning/execution, execute verification/validation events, and provide status updates to engineers/leads.
• Execute integration activities using test equipment and navigate schematics, documentation, and drawings.
• Collaborate with leads to generate test approaches, maintain configuration control, and participate in gate and test readiness reviews.
• Ensure test and evaluation processes follow established procedures for software and hardware.

Position: Senior System Integration & Test Engineer

Role Type: Onsite (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status)

Security Clearance: Secret - Current, active and existing required on day 1.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure electronic hardware setups installed with software builds in a String facility/HWIL for supporting integration, verification, and test activities.
• Interface hardware with software, configure installed hardware/software to interface with networked systems, maintain and develop documentation to support integration, test plans, test activities, and resolve technical inquiries.
• Participate in integration and test planning/execution, executing verification/validation events, performing analysis, and providing status updates and reach‑back assistance to program engineers/leads.
• Execute integration activities using test equipment and navigate through schematics, documentation, and drawings.
• Collaborate with program leads/stakeholders to generate test approaches, maintain configuration control, ensure test set‑up readiness, and participate in key processes (peer, gate, and test readiness reviews).
• Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware.

Willingness to support 20% international travel. Role may require extended hours and support to off‑shift hours.

Qualifications

• Typical requirement: degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, and/or other programming language.
• Experience with systems engineering, radar data analysis, integration, verification, validation, and/or system testing.
• Preferred: Experience with Early Warning Radar systems; MATLAB, Linux (Red**Hat), and shell scripting for performing integration and test analysis, integrating and configuring electronics, installing/debugging software, and networking/troubleshooting electronic system connections.
• Knowledge of electronic hardware configuration and installation, software installations on hardware devices, network configurations, operations of software in String/HWIL facility, and basic networking principles.
• Strong individual integration skills and multidisciplinary engineering team interaction skills.
• Willingness to perform OCONUS travel.
• Certifications: CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+.
