Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Melbourne Engineering Center (MEC) in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join an experienced data-analysis team. You will develop MTI, SAR, and embedded software solutions, guiding them from theory to verification with real sensor data, and collaborating across teams.

You will analyze flight data, build tools in MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, and C++, and prepare technical documents for internal and customer reviews, while traveling to Northrop Grumman

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering required, plus stated experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct performance analysis of flight data and radar platforms.
• Develop and maintain analysis tools in MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, and C++.
• Utilize SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, and IBM ClearCase/ClearQuest for collaboration and config management.
• Perform SAR imagery analysis to assess and improve system performance.
• Prepare design documentation; report progress; and present findings to management and customers.
• Manage and maintain analysis-related databases.
• Develop analysis approaches for diverse scenarios, independently and with teammates.
