Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an engineer to design, analyze, and verify high-performance radar systems in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment. You will translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications and support system integration and verification efforts.

The role emphasizes technical planning, system integration, and hands-on testing during formal acceptance, with opportunities for domestic or international travel and a requirement to obtain a Secret-level

Qualifications

  • Experience in the design and/or integration of sensor systems such as Radar systems or Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
  • Experience with Radar performance tools such as MATLAB is required.
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain a security clearance to at least the Secret level.

Responsibilities

  • Support integration and test, checkout, and formal acceptance testing for various Ground Based and Multi-Mission Air Defense Radar programs.
  • Perform technical planning, systems integration, system test documentation development, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses.
  • Conduct timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into specification documentation.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support during formal acceptance testing, including BIT/PMFL troubleshooting and Live target data analysis.
  • There is the potential for domestic and/or international travel.

The Work

The engineer will be performing various tasks including but not limited to: technical planning, systems integration, system test documentation development, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. This includes functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into specification documentation. During formal acceptance testing, the engineer will be responsible for hands‑on engineering support of the system, including BIT/PMFL troubleshooting and Live target data analysis. Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in the design and/or integration of sensor systems such as Radar systems or Electronic Warfare systems
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
  • Experience with Radar performance tools such as MATLAB is required
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain a security clearance to at least the Secret level
Desired Skills
  • Design and development of radar systems, including familiarity of advanced radar signal processing techniques
  • Performing trades studies, requirements analysis, development, derivation, allocation, and documentation
  • Engineering design and development, software development processes, systems and software modeling
  • Design tools and environments for Radar systems/subsystems for performance analysis and modeling
  • Computer architectures and algorithm development for a range of system/subsystem applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills with comfort working on geographically diverse teams
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
  • Model Based System Design, Test Automation, and Agile development experience
  • DevSecOps experience
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00
