Job summary

Lynx Software Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (R&D Innovation) to prototype and validate emerging tech initiatives, extending our core OS, virtualization, and graphics/GPGPU capabilities into adjacent markets. You will help de-risk product concepts and assess feasibility for production readiness.

This remote US role requires strong expertise in C, Python, and Linux, with experience in virtualization, containers, and modern graphics toolchains.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in software/hardware/embedded engineering.
• Proficiency in prototyping, rapid iteration, and exploratory development.
• Programming experience in C, Python, Rust, OpenGL, Vulkan.
• Solution integration experience—Linux, Container, Virtualization, Kubernetes, IPSec.
• Strong communication skills to present technical risk, feasibility, and tradeoffs.
• Bonus: experience with safety‑critical systems, real‑time constraints, or low‑level kernel and network stack development.

Salary Range: $107,900 - $161,900, plus bonus eligible

As a Senior Systems Engineer, R&D Innovation you’ll work on prototyping and validating emerging technology initiatives, bridging the gap between early-stage experimentation and production readiness. You’ll focus on extending our core operating system, virtualization, and graphical and GPGPU capabilities into adjacent markets, driving product feasibility, and de-risking product concept to market transition process.
