Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the Propulsion Development Branch at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. You will lead requirements definition, functional decomposition, and trade studies to advance multidisciplinary concepts from formulation to an allocated prototype baseline, ensuring alignment with TPM targets.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Aerospace/Mechanical/Chemical/Systems).
• MS degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Expert knowledge of systems engineering principles.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements, decompose functions, and run trade studies toward a prototype baseline.
• Optimize system design and track TPMs against cost and schedule constraints.
• Plan and manage SE execution in MS Project with WBS and critical path.
• Lead IPTs through SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR/PRR with entry/exit criteria.
• Identify and manage technical risks; maintain burn-down and mitigation plans; brief TIMs.
• Oversee prototyping and testing, including modeling, fabrication oversight, and test reports.
