Edgewater Federal Solutions is hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer to lead the migration from on-prem IronPort email security appliances to a cloud-based Proofpoint solution in Washington, DC.

The engineer will plan and execute a seamless transition with minimal disruption to enterprise email services. This role requires full-time onsite presence in Washington, DC, with hands-on design, configuration, and maintenance of Proofpoint as the enterprise security gateway, including firewall rules and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, CS or related field.
• Expert-level experience designing, configuring, and maintaining Proofpoint in an enterprise environment.
• Deep understanding of MTA, Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway, and Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway 8.x.
• Experience configuring Proofpoint firewall rules, maintaining block lists, and handling email quarantine and release requests.
• Eight years of experience supporting Linux servers and VMware environments.

Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to lead the migration of the client's on-premises IronPort email security appliances to a Proofpoint cloud-based email security solution. The engineer will plan and execute a seamless transition while minimizing disruption to enterprise email services. Unless otherwise specified, this position requires full-time onsite presence.

This work is performed onsite in Washington, DC without remote or hybrid options.

Salary: $157,044 - $160,534
