Job summary

System One in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior System Engineer specializing in email security to lead the migration from on-prem IronPort to Proofpoint cloud solutions. This is an onsite, federal-contract role requiring U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a background check.

The candidate will design, configure, and maintain Proofpoint, set firewall rules and block lists, and work with Linux and VMware environments to ensure secure, reliable email services.

Qualifications

• Expert level experience designing, configuring, and maintaining Proofpoint as an enterprise service.
• Experience in setting Proofpoint firewall rules and maintaining block lists; responding to requests to quarantine or release email.
• Deep understanding of MTA and Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway and Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway 8.x.
• Experience with Linux Server and VMware environments.
