Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Product Owner / Systems Engineer to join our USSTRATCOM-focused teams in a DevSecOps environment. You will guide agile stories, interact with mission stakeholders, and help balance technical and schedule tradeoffs for modern Web-based Java mission systems in a Nuclear context.

You must be a US citizen with eligibility for a government security clearance. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting a critical national security mission.

Qualifications

  • Experience eliciting requirements from mission stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting designs to mission stakeholders.
  • Ability to coordinate technical and schedule tradeoffs.
  • Agile Scrum experience with work assignment and decomposition.
  • Experience in a Software Team Environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen; security clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize stories with the agile team based on stakeholder input.
  • Work with mission stakeholders to refine backlog items.
  • Collaborate with engineers to balance technical and schedule tradeoffs.
  • Support planning and execution of SMPES within a DevSecOps cadence.

THE WORK

Lockheed Martin has been embedded with the USSTRATCOM Nuclear Mission for 30+ years and has a track record of bringing innovative mission software solutions to this domain. Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking engineers to support our USSTRATCOM software teams which create Planning and Command and Control (C2) capabilities as part of the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES) in a DevSecOps environment. In this role, you will help our team create modern Web-based, Java mission systems for the Nuclear community. The successful candidate will have experience with software systems built to exacting standards that are delivered on a DevSecOps cadence using Agile Scrum.

Who You Are

Our team needs a full-time Product Owner / Systems engineer. In this role, you will work with an agile team that implements the stories and backlog items you help define based on interactions with the USSTRATCOM mission stakeholders.

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in a Software Team Environment
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

  • Usage of MBSE / Modeling Tools (Cameo and SysML preferred)
  • USSTRATCOM mission insight (Intel, Planning, or C2)
  • Engineering experience with AFNWC SMPES, MPAS, NPES Systems
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $76700.00 - $142500.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
